Day 1:  Arrival in Kigali

You will be welcomed by our representative who will pick you up from the airport and transfer to your hotel in Kigali. You will have rest as you prepare for the next day at the start 6 Days Chimpanzee trekking Nyungwe and Akagera safari

Day 2: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park

In the morning, after breakfast, you will be picked by the guide from your hotel in Kigali and drive southwards, this marks the start of  6 Days Chimpanzee trekking Nyungwe and Akagera safari and  arrive in Nyungwe forest National park. You will have a stopover in Butare, where you will visit the national museum of Rwanda, the king’s palace in Nyanza, and the Rwanda genocide memorial site. After lunch, proceed to your accommodation to spend the evening at leisure

 Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking and canopy walk

Enjoy breakfast, you will leave the lodge with  your packed lunch and go for a briefing about the endangered chimpanzees before entering the forest in search of the active and playful fellows in Nyungwe forest. This is a greatest highlight of our 6 Days Chimpanzee trekking Nyungwe and Akagera safari You will have a briefing, the Chimpanzees are much easier to spot as they jump from one tree to another, chattering and laughing. Chimpanzee tracking usually takes about 3 hours. On finding them, spend an hour while taking pictures and videos.

After Chimpanzee trekking, you will go on a walking trail that will take you to the Canopy Walk-a swing bridge 50 meters in length that is suspended from large trees. You will be able to see the amazing rainforest with a bird’s eye view, spotting wildlife moving about below you. Before night fall, you will return to the lodge

Day 4: Transfer to Akagera NP

Wake early in the morning, you will have an early breakfast, and the start of your journey to Akagera National Park, you will have a stop over for lunch en-route and then proceed to the lodge, arriving late afternoon. Check in at the lodge, have a rest.

Day 5: Morning Game Drive, Afternoon Boat Cruise 

Have breakfast at leisure then drive to the park for a guided morning game drive in the park. Look out for wildlife animals in the park like giraffes, buffalo, elephants, sitatunga, black and white rhinos, impala and so many more. Head back to your lodge for lunch and then embark on an afternoon boat cruise on Lake Ihema. Get to see wildlife roaming at the lake shores and a variety of bird species in the area. Later drive back to the lodge

Day 6: Return to Kigali

Today, after a leisurely breakfast, you  set off for Kigali city. If you have time before your international flight departure, you can take on a city tour of Kigali (additional cost) before dropping you off at the airport
